Spicy Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

-18oz.can diced(whole works well too)tomatoes
-half an onion
-button mushrooms
-2 tbl. of ketchup
-chili paste(use to heat preference)
-cumin
-paprika
-sweet basil
-oregano
-ancho chili powder
-chipotle chili powder
-chili powder
-nutmeg
-2 cloves garlic
-salt pepper to taste

How to make Spicy Spaghetti Sauce

I’ve also added spicy sausage to this dish to add some protein to it

1.heat oil in pan and add onions and garlic
2.add oregano and mushrooms just before tomatoes to bring out that
3. put in tomatoes and the juice from the can
4.add ketchup and let thicken
5.let simmer as you add the rest of spices and wait till proper thickness add to spaghetti.

Apple strudel

Ingredients

Dough:

* 250 grams of wheat flour
* 1/2 cup of warm water
* 1 egg, whisked
* 1 tablespoon of olive oil
* 1 teaspoon of wine vinegar
* pinch of salt

Filling:

* 5 apples, peeled, cores cut out, sliced
* 100 grams of raisins, poured with hot water and drained
* 100 grams of walnuts
* 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
* 4 tablespoons of sugar
* 80 grams of butter, melted
* 1 cup of whipped cream
* almond flakes

How to make Apple strudel

1. Sift flour, add water, egg, olive oil, vinegar and salt, mix well. Knead dough till it’s smooth and elastic.
2. Form ball and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
3. Roll out dough to form rectangular. Dough should be very thin.
4. Smear with butter, layer with apples, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and raisins.
5. Roll up and seal ends.
6. Smear with butter.
7. Bake in preheated oven about 30 minutes, in 180 C degrees.
8. Serve warm with whipped cream and almond flakes.

Curried Home Fries

Ingredients

* 2 tbsp oil
* ¼ red onion, diced
* 2 cloves garlic, julienned
* Leaves of 1 small sprig rosemary
* 1 potato, diced (1cm)
* ¼ carrot, diced (1cm)
* 2 tsp curry powder, or to taste
* ¼ tsp salt, or to taste
* ¼ tsp black pepper, or to taste
* ¼ cup water (or stock)
* 1 tsp butter
* 1 tbsp chopped chives

How to make Curried Home Fries

1. Heat oil in a large, non-stick frying pan. Fry the onions for 1 minute on medium heat until fragrant. Add the garlic and rosemary, fry for another minute.
2. Add the potatoes and carrots, and season with curry powder, salt and pepper. Stir to mix well.
3. Push to spread the potatoes and carrots in a single layer on the pan. Add the water and place a lid over the pan.
4. Leave for 5 minutes or until the liquid completely evaporates, stirring once or twice in the process.
5. Add the butter and leave to cook covered for another 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Stir in the chives and remove from heat. Serve with an extra sprinkling of chives.

Crème de Brie Apple Pinwheels

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp. honey mustard
  • 1 pkg. (5 oz.) Alouette Crème de Brie, Original
  • 1 large flour tortilla (10 –12 inch)
  • 4-6 slices of high quality ham or prosciutto
  • 2 apples, sliced and brushed with lemon juice
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

How to make Crème de Brie Apple Pinwheels

Spread honey mustard on entire tortilla.

Spread Alouette Crème de Brie on ¾ of tortilla.

Layer with ham slices and top with apples and nuts on same ¾ section of tortilla.

Roll jelly-roll fashion and slice into 1 inch pinwheels.
