This is one of my favorite holiday desserts. I try to make something different each year for my family. They enjoy it very much. sometimes instead of drizzling chocolate sauce on top, I like to use crushed peppermint candy and sprinkle on top or put Christmas colored sprinkles on top too.

Prepare chocolate crumb crust.combine chocolate crumbs with butter and press onto the bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Beat cream cheese and sugar until well blended. Add sour cream and vanilla. beat until blended. beat in coca and flour. Beat in eggs 1 at a time until blended. Pour mixture into crust.
Bake at 450 for 10 mins. Reduce temp. to 250 degrees, bake for 40 mins.
Remove from oven to a wire rack.
With a knife, loosen cake from side of pan. Cool completely. Remove side of pan.
Prepare chocolate drizzle.
Place chocolate pieces and shortening in a microwaveable bowl and microwave for 30 sec. stir and microwave for 15 sec. at a time until melted.
Drizzle the chocolate sauce over the cheesecake.
Another idea is to crush peppermint candies and sprinkle on top.
